I got these for myself for Christmas, and they are absolutely adorable. They don't look like much in the pic, but they do look like laced-up ballet slippers when they're on. They are medium thickness (like about how thick a pair of trouser socks are) and seem durable. They stay up fairly well, though I did have to hitch them up now and then. They have a fair amount of stretch so fitting even my size 10 feet wasn't a problem.
Everyone I show them to smiles, laughs, or wants their own pair. I wore them to the gym with pink 3/4 length yoga pants; people loved them and/or wanted to know where to get them. I also wear them around the house as slippers coz they're just so darn cute.
Although I told everyone I originally saw them here on Amazon, I got mine at Foot Traffic directly (apologies to Amazon), which allowed me to get a few other pairs of socks as well and save on shipping. The shipping per pair of socks is just too much; they are cute, but wouldn't be worth it for $12. $6 total, yes. $12 total, no, not for novelty socks.

Cute item - got it as a Crhistmas gift quality is good.
The price was great but felt that shipping should not be higher than the price of the item.... oh well hope she like it.
